The Payroll Worksheet is where a pay run actually comes together — it pulls in your employees, their hours, earnings, and deductions for the period, ready for review before posting.
Where to find it: Payroll > Payroll Worksheet

Steps
- Click New. The Create New Worksheet window opens.
- Fill in the customizations (Pay Cycle, Payroll Period, Branch/Range, etc.) for the worksheet.
- The Worksheet Emp Generate window opens, listing the employees in that workgroup.
- Review the list. If everyone shown should be included, click Generate. If not, uncheck anyone who shouldn’t be on this worksheet before clicking Generate.

Notes
- If you accidentally left someone off, you can add them afterward using the Add Emp button at the end of the employee list on the worksheet.
- Use the Table Entry option if you want to update earnings, earning details, or deductions for everyone on the worksheet with ease, rather than editing each employee one at a time.
Before generating a worksheet, make sure your employee records are up to date — new hires added, terminations marked, and rate changes made. This is much easier to fix beforehand than after the worksheet is generated. See Adding a New Employee.
Once the worksheet looks right, the next step is to print and post it — see Printing and Posting Worksheets.
