Setting Up Holidays and Time & Attendance Rules

Before you start running timesheets, it’s worth setting up your company’s holidays and the rules TTPay should use to calculate overtime.

Adding Holidays

Where to find it: Setup > System > Time and Attendance > Holidays, or Time > Utility > Holidays

Steps

  1. Click New or press F4 to add a new line.
  2. Keep the Calendar Ref as its default (STD)
  3. Enter the Date and Details of the holiday your company observes
  4. If a holiday falls on the same date every year (like Independence Day), check it as fixed — you won’t need to re-enter it in future years.
  5. If the date of the holiday has been confirmed, tick the Confirmed? button.

If there is a strikethrough on the holiday, that means the holiday has passed.

Adding Time & Attendance Rules

Time and Attendance (TA) Rules control how wages and overtime pay is calculated, and can be applied to a single employee, a project, or an entire department.

Where to find it: Setup > Time and Attendance > TA Rules

Steps

  1. If you want to create a new rule, enter the Rule Ref and its description in Rule Details. If you want to amend an existing rule, press Ctrl + M to modify.
  2. If you want to set your rule to be applied based on the Day Type (e.g. Holiday, Workday) or Pay Cycle (e.g. Monthly, Weekly) fill out the appropriate boxes below.

TA Rules that are set up here become the default you’ll select from when creating timesheets — see Creating a Timesheet. You can always choose a different rule for an individual employee on a specific timesheet if needed.
